Burgundy Non-Primeur Tasting - Wednesday 9th December 2026 - £90
6.00pm - 9.00pm
The Cellar at Waud Handford Wines
105 Old Brompton Road, SW7 3LE
While much of the wine trade heads to Burgundy this week to taste the highly anticipated 2025 vintage, we're taking a different perspective and turning our attention to the rewards of patience: red Burgundy with bottle age. Join us for a relaxed walk-around tasting featuring a carefully selected range of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines from some of Burgundy's most renowned appellations. With vintages spanning from just a few years to over a decade in bottle, the line-up offers a fascinating opportunity to explore how these wines evolve with age and how site, vintage and winemaking shape their character.
Our team will be on hand throughout the tasting to discuss the nuances of each village, drinking windows and vintage conditions, and to answer any questions you may have. We expect to pour around 12 wines, with the provisional line-up detailed below.
- Domaine Michel Lafarge, Beaune Premier Cru, Clos des Aigrots Blanc 2022
- Domaine Christian Clerget, Chambolle-Musigny 2022
- Domaine Christian Clerget, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, Les Charmes 2015
- Georges Lignier et Fils, Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2016
- Domaine Le Guellec-Ducouet, Gevrey-Chambertin 2021
