Soft salmon pink and with open and appealing crushed raspberry nose. There's just a hint of peppermint cream too. Mouth-filling, soft red fruits, a dash of white pepper and freshness of zingy redcurrant on the finish. Mouth watering pink!
Chateau St Jacques d’Albas is tucked in between the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Black Mountains and the Canal du Midi. Owned by Graham Nutter, an old customer of James’ back in the Holland Park days, Graham bought the farm in the early 2010s and has converted the estates production into a twelve-wine portfolio. Made second to Handford favourite “Chapelle en Rose”, there is nothing small about our Petit Saint Jacques! 35% Grenache - 33% Cinsault / 32% Mourvèdre, it packs a little more red fruit punch than Chapelle but is deliberately shorter. A nice option to round off the Summer.
