Founded in 2011 by siblings Joana and António Maçanita, Maçanita Vinhos is a dynamic Douro producer built on curiosity, collaboration and a determination to challenge convention. Working plot by plot with indigenous grape varieties from old vines, they combine
thoughtful, low-intervention viticulture and winemaking, using native yeasts, gentle extraction and restrained oak to preserve each vineyard’s unique character. The result is a vibrant collection of authentic, site-driven wines that capture the energy, personality and true essence of the Douro Valley.

Though the nose is subded, the palate shows remarkable tension and cyrstalline fruits of white-fleshed stone fruit that line up and penetrate the back of the wine. Very powerful, very impressive.
