The Grand Cru Rangen is the only vineyard in Alsace on volcanic rocks. Rock. The hardness of the rock makes the soil stony and its dark colour favours heat retention. This extreme vineyard of 45 years old, is ranging from 320 to 450 m in altitude, faces due south and its slopes are steepest in Alsace (60°). The entire vineyard works have to be done exclusively by hands is very hard conditions. Rangen has a majestic intensity. Gunflint and rock crumble away to reveal white grapefruit, firm nectarine and honeydew melon. A weightier style of Riesling which is firm and direct rather than pretty and ethereal.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
