Product: 2023 Chateau Puech-Haut, Saint Drezery Prestige Blanc, Languedoc
Château Puech-Haut is a secret star of Languedoc near the region of Pic-St-Loup, founded by Gerard Bru. Nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, the estate extends over more than 150 hectares. The combination of the Mediterranean climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value French Country wines. Through wine, the personalities and the resources of an entire terroir are expressed and shared. Therefore, the wines of Château Puech-Haut are all steeped in history and endowed with a singular identity with a strong character. A blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, the Saint Drezery Prestige Blanc 2023 is a rich golden colour in the glass. The nose has luscious ripe tropical fruit and white peach aromas. There is lovely weight on the palate with ripe melon and a touch of quince, whilst still being fresh. Perfect as an aperitif or with creamy foods such as turkey curry, pan fried trout with butter sauce or pasta carbonara.
