Product: 2023 Arzuaga, La Planta, Ribera del Duero
The Arzuaga winery is in Valladolid, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. It was at the beginning of the 1990s when, after buying La Planta estate, Florentino Arzuaga began planting vines, building the winery and producing wine. The Arzuaga Winery has 210 hectares of vineyards distributed between the immediate surroundings of the winery and the natural area of La Planta estate. The vineyards enjoy sunshine and clear skies in the daytime and cool, damp nights. This climatic combination means the grapes ripen slowly but perfectly, producing healthy fruit with plenty of colour, full of sugar and aromatic acidity. The ’La Planta’ is 100% Tempranillo and aged for 6 months in French and American oak. The wine has great aromatic intensity, with strawberry and red cherry shining though along with roasted nuts and mineral touches. The palate is balanced and harmonious with a smooth, fresh finish. A great match for dishes such as duck confit, smoky lamb chops, hearty bean stews and local goats’ cheese Camerano.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
