Product: 2022 Paso d'Oro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles
South of the bay, Paso d’Oro is a range looked after by our Napa friends at Rutherford Hill. Vineyards are on the gentle slopes of an inland range of hills. They are known as Estrella, San Juan Creek and Highlands. Using different clones, rootstocks and sometimes adjusting farming practices to suit the site, Paso d’Oro produce a spectacular range of complex wines at affordable prices. One quarter of this Cabernet is aged new barrels, not an inexpensive venture in itself!
Generous in the glass this boasts cassis, strawberry, hibiscus with hints of vanilla, cocoa power and a subtle notes of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg spices. Full body, on the palate this wine burst with red bright juicy fruit flavours elegantly balanced with vanilla, coffee and baking spices.
