Entirely owned by the family this beautiful vineyard oversees the entire appellation. It lies below the ruined castle of the Dukes of Montaigu and would have been the pride of Burgundy in the 15th and early 16th centuries. There’s a superb blend of blackcurrant jelly, fine tannin and that hint of rusticity that defines out this old vineyard. Raspberry coulis and a lovely tart finish. This will develop in the mid term to yield a classically styled red Burgundy with a layer of 2022 ripeness to enjoy. 2026 to 2032
