A classic vineyard at the foot of the hill of Corton that often gives an austere and long lived red. The power of the wine is immense and, in line with tradition the flavours are, for now, more of beetroot and wild berries than of lush red fruits. It’s a velvet fist in an iron glove and one of those rare, less expensive reds that will be exciting to pick from the cellar over the next 10 years. 2029 to 2038
