Sandy soils in this part of Echezeaux allow free drainage. This is usually a tough one to bite into when tasting from barrel and 2022 is no exception. There’s wild side to this with leather, raw spice, a savoury note and plenty of guts. Spice, tar, earth, fire and with a mixed fruit compote of flavour, this shows off the depth and power of a great Grand Cru. Unforgettable. 2031 to 2044.
