The denouement of another great afternoon chez Christophe was spectacular. These aren’t the most classic, tannic, long-lived reds but they will give pleasure over more than few years. I’m minded of that argument that some fulsome reds may never come round. These wines are beautiful and there to be enjoyed at almost any time. There’s a stronger focus of blackberry and loganberry with flint stone definition and that fresh finish that characterises the vintage. There’s a great balance of almost citric acidity with a sprig of mint on the finish. Excellent. 2026 to 2036.
