Still north of the villages but sheltered, and a little lower down the hill. Soils are contiguous with Vosne Romanee les Ravioles resulting in perhaps the silky smoothest example in this range. Very dark in colour and with toasted brioche, freshly picked pea pods and wild strawberry notes. The pea pod thing made us laugh but it’s in line with other vintage that have shown a vegetal, often sweet, root vegetable note. Perhaps it show that we are back above ground in 2022! Plenty of character here and a must for any Burgundy buff. 2027 to 2036.
