Product: 2022 Frescobaldi, Pomino, Benefizio Bianco Riserva
The estate of Pomino dates from 1500, the year the castle of the same name was built, and from the beginning has been famous for the excellence of its location. In the documentation from the year 1716 when the Grand Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici identified the four most highly prized territories of Tuscany for the production of wines – the notice is considered the precursor of the modern “DOC” From one of the areas of Tuscany most suited to white wine production, at altitudes reaching 700 metres, comes a highly refined and elegant blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The Pomino Bianco has floral characteristics on the nose, with hints of white wisteria and magnolia, as well as apple, pear and fresh citrus fruits. On the palate, the creamy sensation from the partial fermentation in wood is accompanied by fresh minerality and a textural finish. Will match beautifully with escargot, roast turkey or goats cheese salad.
