In October, the Aigrots showed more of its depth and fulsome, velvet texture than the abundant flavours that will ripen in bottle over the next year or three. A wine of feel and personality there is a dab of crème fraiche, fleshy red fruits in the background and, above all, that stamp of Lafarge clarity and that instinctive sense of natural disposition.
