From five 1er Cru vineyards, the youngest vines are 50 years old. This is a fascinating mix of Beaune more famous vineyards of Clos du Roi and Les Bressandes, both on the Savigny side and les Pertuisots on the Pommard side. Then from the high and low parts come fruit from Montee Rouge and les Reversees. Nicoals wanted to taste this one quite late in the range as it ranks with some of the great 1er Crus of Vosne. Layers and layers of lively red fruit, violet and some creamy notes. Ripe and fine tannins. Exceptional. 2027 to 2035
