The winemaking tradition of the Brunel family goes back to the 17th century. Gaston Brunel, a famous négociant, acquired the Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf du Pape in 1945. The estate is now run by his two sons, Maxime and Patrick with the help of their wives Maryse and Eve and some of their children and grandchildren, Marie-Odile, Philippe, Guillaume and Thibaut. The estate spreads over 52-hectares of vineyards (48 red and 4 white) and 20-hectares of forest, all gathered around the property. Merchant Review NR

A pale lemon-green in colour, the Gardine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2022 is aged for 6 months in new oak barrels and vats. The nose expresses some fine and lively aromas of citrus, thyme, and verbena, as well as delicate notes of liquorice and fennel. The palate is round and aromatic with a deliciously crisp finish. With a couple of years of ageing, this wine will develop waxy, honey aromas. The winemaking tradition of the Brunel family goes back to the 17th century.
