Product: 2021 Torres - Vinyarets Tinto
The Vinyarets 2021 is made using grapes from organic vineyards at a range of altitudes with varying microclimates and soils within the subzone of Alts d’Ancosa – the highest and coldest area in Penedès. Bright ruby red in the glass, the nose is full of raspberry and cherry with floral hints. The palate is delicate rather than powerful, with velvety tannins and a long finish. Familia Torres is located within one of the most forward-thinking appellations in Spain, DO Penedès, whose goal it is to have all wines released under their DO to have come from organic vineyards by 2025. A surname linked to the wine world for more than three centuries: founded in 1870, Familia Torres is widely regarded as one of the world’s most innovative wineries. With vineyards and wineries in four Spanish DO’s, they are one of the country’s leading producers of premium quality wines – a position which was recognised when they were presented with ‘The World’s Most Admired Wine Brand’ award. This particular wine comes from one of the most forward-thinking appellations in Spain - DO Penedès. By 2025, all wines released under this DO will need to have come from organic vineyards. Food matches: This would work well with lighter dishes such as charcuterie, grilled tuna or carpaccio.
