Michel Gassier Nostre Païs Blanc is a pale yellow color tinted in green, announcing a wine with a great deal of freshness and purity. The complex nose reveals floral and mineral notes with accents of fresh citrus fruits. Lively and fresh, the aromas of flowers and white fruits, blends with flint. The very soft finish evinces a great deal of minerality. Located in Costières de Nîmes, south of the Rhone Valley, Michel Gassier strives to produce handcrafted wines that express "the nuances of their soils and the sincerity of their winemaker". As a winemaker, he believes that the less intervention, the more the terroir can express itself. Working with instinct and intellectual rigor, the goal of Domaine Gassier is to further the understanding of the terroirs, only doing what is essential at precisely the right moment, thinking outside the box and avoiding simplistic recipes. That, for Michel Gassier, is how you can produce great wines. He says it is also a matter of teamwork, a duo that he forms with his wife Tina; together they"ve chosen the exceptional terroirs to have given birth to the wines of Michel Gassier. Food Pairing: Fresh creamy cheeses, chicken in cream sauce, Potted shrimp, halibut in sage butter sauce, grilled shrimp, pumpkin risotto.
