Merchant Review NR
los de la Roche is one of the finest Grand Crus, situated at the northern tip of Morey St Denis, on the border with Gevrey Chambertin. It is muscley and atheltic in style with red and dark fruit characteristics combined with a musky and wild sensation. This is complimented by Domaine Dujac`s signature stylish whole bunch winemaking technique to create a fantastically complex and age worthy wine. A real contrast to the years preceding and succeeding it, 2021 was an old-school vintage due to the horrible growing season. Intense cold and frost in April decimated the crops, though a good end to the season saved the harvest. Lower yields and earlier pleasure in what is a ‘drinking’ rather than ‘collecting’ vintage.
