Chateau Puech-Haut, Loup du Pic, Pic Saint Loup 2021 Château Puech-Haut is a secret star of Languedoc near the region of Pic-St-Loup, founded by Gerard Bru. Nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, the estate extends over more than 150 hectares. The combination of the Mediterranean climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value French Country wines. Through wine, the personalities and the resources of an entire terroir are expressed and shared. Therefore, the wines of Château Puech-Haut are all steeped in history and endowed with a singular identity with a strong character. The bouquet of the wine has intense aromas of kirsch, plum and blackcurrant with a touch of lavender. The palate is bold and powerful with great complexity and concentration. It is extremely well-balanced and structured with a core of dark fruits and spice and an impressive, lingering finish. Match with pork tenderloin with raspberry reduction, braised beef short ribs or black olive and garlic stuffed mushrooms.
