Product: 2021 Chateau Puech-Haut, Lavabre, Pic Saint Loup
Château Puech-Haut, Château Lavabre’s parent producer, is a secret star of Languedoc near the region of Pic-St-Loup, founded by Gerard Bru. Nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, the estate extends over more than 150 hectares. The castle was built on solid foundations: an ideal climate, passionate men and a land covered with rounded pebbles. The combination of the Mediterranean climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value French Country wines. Through wine, the personalities and the resources of an entire terroir are expressed and shared. Therefore, the wines of Château Puech-Haut are all steeped in history and endowed with a singular identity with a strong character. This blend of Grenache and Syrah is modern in style, exploding with ripe blue fruit, savoury spices and cassis. The palate is rich with well-integrated tannins and a seamless finish. Match with spaghetti puttanesca, stilton and leek tarts or smoky barbecued meats.
