Château Ollieux Romanis Lo Petit Fantet d"Hyppolite Blanc is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris, the balance between herbs, spice, waxy fruit and acidity is beguiling. Intensely golden in colour with notes of ripe fruit. From a vineyard that is more famous for it’s reds, this is a real treat.
We have always been very keen on Corbières, the largest of the appellations in Languedoc-Roussillon, and feel it is hugely underrated in the UK. A family owned vineyard for several generations Château Ollieux Romanis is in Montseret (renowned for honey flavoured with thyme, rosemary and lavender), situated in the heart of the Boutenac region, an area dedicated to the culture of the vine since Roman times.
Food matches: This is easy summer drinking or enjoyable just at home with a fancy white fish for dinner.
