Product: 2020 Arzuaga, Ribera del Duero, Planta
Arzuaga La Planta is clean, bright, high intensity and cherry red in colour with a cardinal rim. High aromatic intensity, with a great variety of fruits, where the aromas of red fruits stand out and the acid strawberry and cherry predominate and along with these the notes of scrubland and resins, mineral touches and roasted aromas typical of its stay in the barrel. Balance and harmony between the taste components, we are faced with a structured, meaty wine that always amazes for its smoothness and freshness typical of the La Planta wine. Located in Valladolid, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero DO, the Arzuaga Winery has 210 hectares of vineyard planted to Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 80% of the vineyards are more than 20 years old and the unique climate here – sunshine and clear skies during the day with cool, damp evenings – allows the grapes to ripen slowly, producing healthy fruit with plenty of colour, sugars and aromatic acidity. At Arzuaga’s vineyards, the natural flora and fauna coexist with the vines – pines, holm oaks and savin juniper grow alongside the grapes, whilst wild boars and red deer are left to roam the land. The coexistence highlights the love the Arzuaga family feel for the natural world. The family’s efforts in the vineyard and winery have earned them a fine reputation for producing quality wines from Ribera del Duero.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
