In his modest but brilliant way Alain has been around a long time. He`s a new grower to us and a fabulous find. He manages these vines meticulously, avoiding sprays where possible. He retains the old tradition of pigeage, that is pushing down the solids of the fermenting juice by foot! Charme aux Pretres refers to the ancient tradition whereby monks blessed the vines before the season begun.
Rich and balanced, it clearly expresses aromas of cherry and raspberry. On the palate, beautiful complexity, lots of substance and good persistence.
