Primitivo di Manduria is considered the superior appellation for Primitivo as it is the only grape permitted in the appellation. Ancient vineyards sheltered from the Meditteranean produce lusciously ripe black grapes which are meticulously vinified into rich bold reds. The 60 sees 12 months of French and American oak. It offers intense aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and subtle hints of spice. Full-bodied with velvety tannins, the wine has a smooth, warm finish balanced by a touch of acidity. A powerful and well-structured expression of Primitivo.
