Product: 2019 Rathfinny, Blanc de Noirs Brut, England
The new vintage of Rathfinny"s signature Sussex Sparkler, is a lovely rich Blanc de Noirs composed of Pinot Noir (81%) and Pinot Meunier (19%). Aged for 36 months on the lees after malolactic fermentation, this vintage offers a rose gold hue and nose of sweet Russet apples. A mouth-filling palate of summer fruits with a long, zesty, saline, plum compôte finish. It"s super tasty now but will certainly develop nicely with age. Rathfinny Estate in East Sussex was founded in 2010 by husband and wife, Mark and Sarah Driver. Once a working arable farm, the first vines were planted in 2012 and today Rathfinny comprises of over 200 acres of predominantly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Located in the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty in Southern England, the Rathfinny vineyard is perfect for growing sparkling wine grapes: The light, thin, clay loam soils over chalk are free draining and very similar to the Champagne region of France. Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with lamb or charcuterie, or strawberries and cream. During the winter months, why not try it with baked ham and cranberry sauce or roast duck with all the trimmings.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
