La Comtesse de Pazo Barrantes Albariño shows white flowers, nectarines, quince, hints of thyme, fennel and dill as well as the classic eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate, it offers a silky texture with impressive volume and depth. It is well-balanced, fine, and elegantly sophisticated, leaving a lasting impression with each sip.<br/><br/>Pazo Barrantes has been the Creixell’s family home since the 15th century, where Albariño has been grown for generations. Owned by the infamous Marques de Murrieta in Rioja. It was not until 1982 when the vineyards were replanted, and the winery was built. Located in the Salnés Valley, the 12 hectares of vines are grown on a high trellis system, protecting them from rot and encouraging ripening.<br/><br/>Food matches: Seared crayfish with fresh pasta and vegetables, grilled lobster with acid mayonnaise, steamed prawns with mustard and truffle oil, warm shrimp salad with honey mustard and green apples.<br/><br/>Serves at: 12-14°C
