At just over 5 hectares, this is one of the largest monopole vineyards in Burgundy. It is managed biodynamically and with utmost respect not only for the vineyard, but for the expression of its constituent parts. The style of Epeneaux has become ever more friendly in recent years and so the wine will be more approachable within a decade. The 2019 is thick, powerful and with notes of dark chocolate, intense blackberry and black cherry. It is luscious and rounded with a deep core and salty mineral tones. Quite superb. 2026 to 2039
