A wine that has received accolades and awards left, right and centre. The Kilikanoon Tregea Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Tregea Vineyard, nestled just below the Cellar Door in the Clare Valley. Each year a reserve composition is created consistent with the pedigree of this Cabernet, exhibiting the unique and unequivocal essence of Kilikanoon.

Inky red in colour, with youthful crimson hues. Aromas of fresh red berries, riper blackcurrant notes, hints of leaf and mint all meld seamlessly together, seductively supported classy French oak spices. On the palate the 2018 Tregea Reserve is textured yet taut with a linear palate, the noble flavours of cassis, tobacco leaf, nuances of liquorice and lively red berries all superbly combine, further enhanced and fleshed out by the wines lively acidity and fine grained tannins; a Reserve wine made for the ages.

Kilikanoon Winery, based at Penwortham, was established in 1997 by Kevin Mitchell, an Adelaide University graduate and a Clare Valley winemaker down to his bootstraps. Initially the wines were based on Kilikanoon’s Golden Hillside suite of contiguous vineyards planted by Kevin’s father Mort during the 1960s and 1970s. Low input viticulture and traditional winemaking techniques are extensively employed evoking the idea of hand-made wines. Fastidious attention to detail and a burning ambition to make wines with clear regional definition and individual personality has quickly established Kilikanoon as one of Clare’s top producers.
