Aged for 30 months in oak barrels and a further 18 months in bottle before release, the Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino 2017 is powerful and complex with the markings of a generous vintage. On the nose, intense aromas of cherry and wild blackberry mingle with fresh white flowers and balsamic notes. The palate is full, rich and intense with great tannic structure and perfect acidity. Enjoyable now as well as in the years to come. Tenuta Nuova is a pioneering and visionary vineyard project embodying the belief and passion of Casanova di Neri. Tenuta Nuova means new property; Tenuta Nuova is a place where no one had planted Sangiovese before; Tenuta Nuova is the will of Casanova di Neri to produce a powerful yet drinkable Brunello with high ageing potential. The project began with the study of varied local microclimates and their optimal exposures. Through cautious and passionate research, Casanova di Neri has used the most sophisticated scientific investigations to determine the perfect clones, rootstocks, cultivation practices, and plant density per hectare to grow excellent Sangiovese grapes. Food matches: Perfect with rich risottos, Bistecca Fiorentina, and beef wellington.
