Deep, rounded, bramble and crab apple jelly with notes of quince cheese and strawberry shortcake. Huge length and body for a village red. Classic Millot smoothness and full body. It’s lively too. Jean Marc describes it as ‘gouleyant’. Difficult to translate exactly but try lively and gluggable; perhaps more flattering when considered alongside the huge wines to follow! Very short supply. 2019 to 2024.
