Merchant Review NR
Armand Rousseau`s Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru is perhaps one of the finest examples of fresh yet powerful Burgundy. Ruchottes Chambertin is the highest Grand Cru vineyard in Gevrey Chambertin with the shallowest soil and is therefore the lighest and most elefgany in style. A catastrophic spring frost decimated the crop of a vintage with an almost perfect summer growing season. The resulting wines are of great quality with especially exciting reds that show lots of freshness and concentrated fruit. The whites are fine and elegant though not legendary. 96-98 Points - Robert Parker 94-96 Points - Jasper Morris
