For 2013 cooler temperatures prevailed in September and the first half of October, and the grapes benefitted from ample sunshine and breezy conditions. Picking started in mid October, about 20 days later than usual. Indeed, picking this late hadn’t happened since the 1980s! An extended growing season ensures fragrance in the wines as well as well-ripened tannins. For Giacomo Neri, 2013 was his anniversary edition and so diligence was taken to create a deeply layered expression of Brunello. There are bold tones of dark fruit that are softened and enhanced by spice, leather, tobacco and balsam herb. This is the most intense Brunello in the line up which is polished in it’s delivery.

Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
