Merchant Review NR
This wine is 100% Verdejo and satisfies rules to be labelled Rueda DO, an appellation famous for fresh fruity wines made for drinking young. But Pagos de Villavendimia make a different style. Firstly they have held on to their 90 year old bush vines instead of replanting rows of trellised vines that maximise production. Their production is small and artisan. They release the Finca Buena Vista into the market six years after the initial harvest once they can ensure that it shows the full capability of Verdejo. This 2012 is layered and complex. At the core is pure red apple and preserved lemon but the layers around it peel back to show toast, fennel and beeswax.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
High-value or high-volume orders may be sent out with London City Bond (LCB) couriers who do not currently offer active tracking. Please contact us via email orders@waudhandford.com or phone +44 20 7589 6113 for updates on this.
