The 2008 Cuvee Cinema Pinot Noir is produced from fruit grown in Walker Bay. The fruit comes from single vineyard situated in one of the coolest sites in the Hemel en Aarde area. (2500 bottle made). The name "Cuvee Cinema" was arose from the fact that filming of a feature on Napoleon Bonaparte took place on this vineyard site in the year prior to planting. 30% whole-bunch pressed and raised in 30% new oak for 11 months The nose shows varietal perfume and attractive oak notes. The palate shows excellent fruit concentration, very fine, soft tannins and fresh acidity. Juicy, rich, and full bodied but perfectly balanced. Crisp black cherry, cassis and violet-scented bouquet that is beautifully controlled - sleek and assured.
