Urbina is a small, family-owned winery making Rioja the traditional way. The `Selección` bottling is made with the best fruit from the oldest vines. A blend of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo and 5% Graziano that are aged for 15 months in American oak casks and released with plenty of bottle age. Top score at a Decanter Premium Rioja blind tasting with 93 points. A wine for lovers of mature, traditional Rioja at a very appealing price, this is a super Crianza that showcases Tempranillo grapes from the cool climate area of Cuzcurrita. Bright, focused and refreshing, it has aromas of Asian spices and tobacco leaf, redcurrant and summer pudding flavours, subtle oak and silky tannins. Delicious.
