Product: 2022 Clos Pons, Jan Blanc, Costers del Segre
Half way between Lleida and Tarragona is the region of Las Garrigas where Clos Pons is located. It’s a continental climate with very warm summers but enough altitude to slow ripening during the evening hours. The climate assists many varieties to be grown so much so that the estate can claim nearly 15 varieties under vine! The Jan Blanc is a curiosity. The vinification suggests a wine destined for short term drinking after only seeing steel for 4 months after the fermentation. But on tasting recently, that juvenile acidity has melted away to leave behind ripe fruit, dried florals and lemon peel. You can no longer taste the chardonnay and are instead left with the personality of Macabeo and Grenache Blanc.
Orders are typically processed within 2 working days and shipped by DPD using their Next Day service (delivery by the end of the next working day).
Orders to remote areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland) may be sent with DPD’s Two Day service (delivery within two working days).
