Wine Tasting at the Army & Navy Club for CBRE
It was a real pleasure to host CBRE and their clients at the Army & Navy Club last week.
The guests were guided through France’s key wine regions, showcasing outstanding examples from each. The line-up (pictured) was exceptional, with opinion of the best wine split between Pontet-Canet 2014 and the blind wine of the evening, La Chapelle 2022. Opinion was divided between those who preferred the softer, more integrated tannins of a mature 12-year-old wine, and those drawn to the younger, more vibrant and fruit-forward character of the 2022 Syrah.
A big congratulations to Lizzie for winning the multiple choice quiz for the blind wine - identifying the grape variety, region and price correctly! I was very impressed that she was able to fit her magnum of fizz in her handbag...
