An Outstanding Evening of Piemonte Wines
Thanks very much to everyone who came down to our sold out Piemonte tasting!
For those signed up to the October Wine Tour, it was an opportunity to preview a few of the wineries we will visit. The evening provided a great chance to celebrate all things Nebbiolo. The line up previewed the 2022 Barolo vintage, which is deliciously bold and expressive.
The fact that a few people snapped up the 2022 'Albe' Vajra to take home on the evening highlights the approachability and appeal for drinking now. The Barbaresco 2022's and Riserva 21's both showed beautiful finesse and were complete show stealers. More to follow on this when our Piemonte offer lands next week!
Nebbiolo may have taken front and centre but what an amazing supporting cast from the other indigenous varieties. We showed some beautiful whites - with Gavi, Timorasso, and Nascetta local to the Barolo commune of Novello.
We had delightful regional reds with a trio of Langhe Nebbiolo's showing the beautiful intricacies of this grape.
And a charming Dolcetto gave us a taste of what to look forward to when the Rinaldi wines land next month. Do look out for that pre-shipment offer.
